I understand there are intangibles such as how the recruit clicks with coaches, proximity to family, legacy issues, perceived or promised playing time opportunities, etc. As for the quality of coaching, I'd have to say between Kevin Bromley and Bobby Braswell, I don't think one has the other beat by much. Academically, I'm not sure what CSUN might have to offer that Poly doesn't. Crowds are bigger at Poly. Poly's a much more beautiful place--although some city slickers might find it to be too remote. CSUN may play a slightly tougher OOC schedule. But, all in all, I think Poly should win most recruiting battles if we directly compete with the Matadors. I suspect we ultimately didn't compete with CSUN on this recruit.
