Thanks for the compliment, CPC. Likewise, to be sure. It's much easier to be gracious in defeat for good winners (like Cal Poly) than it is for bad ones (like, say, most UCI trolls who post on our board). Yeah, most of the posting yesterday and today on our board has been a good ol' fashioned lovefest (well, one guy who calls himself "Pissed Off Poly" says we hacked Schilling all night which is why he was so cut up). But this is what a rivalry should be - intense competition, great crowds, and mutual respect.

It'd be nice, wouldn't it? I live in LA and was stoked to actually get the rare chance to see my boys on the telly. Would have loved to have been there, even in defeat - it looked like an amazing atmosphere...

Believe me, we've all got respect for what your team can do. A lot of us were quietly expecting to lose last night, thinking that we were due (and so were you!).

The original thinking was that we HAVE to get the #1 seed so we wouldn't have to play both USU and UCI. But the way you're playing right now (particularly on the road), I wouldn't necessarily rather face the Aggies or Eaters in the second round than the Mustangs. I'd almost go so far as to say it doesn't matter what seed anyone gets from #1 down to #4 - there will be NO gimmes in the BWT, especially after the first round. See you there!
