Guess they saved money by taking the tent down early. It's too bad they couldn't rent it out for use by a small circus.

Why is Div. I-A Texas El Paso of the WAC any tougher than Toledo of the MAC? Last year UTEP was 2-10, (1-7 in the WAC).

Gary Nord's Miners two wins were against Sac State 42-12 and Rice 38-35. They were shutout in Oklahoma by both the Sooners (0-68) and Tulsa (0-20). But they did give Nevada and SMU good games before falling 17-23 and 35-42 respectively. They did lose at San Jose State 23-58, but the Spartans also beat Illinois last fall at Champaign. (They didn't play Fresno State last season).

Other Div. I-AA schools play Div. I-A opponents, why should Cal Poly be any different? Some examples from last season:
