Rip Mott if you want but even in tiny Mott Gym, the Mustangs have better attendance than every other school in the Big West with the exception of Utah State. Amazing...the Thunderdome seats more than twice the number of Mott, yet they average less in attendance.
Must be like playing in an empty canyon.

In terms of Poly players capable of playing in the SEC...last season when Poly defeated Oregon State, the first thing their coach said during the post game interview was that Varnie Dennis should be playing in the Pac-10. Further, Poly has lost players who have transferred to the Pac-10 (Hoffart), Big-10 (Onstad) and Mtn. West (Price). I guess at UCSB they don't think these conferences are as good as the SEC.
