Subject: Co-Dependency

I understand that in some ways codependency is not good. Such as drugs, alcohol, bad relationships, and other things of that nature. However, when it comes to Ragdolls, I have found that codependency is a good thing. :) My dad seems to be under the impression that codependency is always a bad thing, at least I think that is the reason that he continues to bring it up. :) Every time I turn around (I am not overstating) Anna is right there. And usually I mean RIGHT there. She has this thing, she always wants to know where I am. For instance, right now I am in the computer room, and where is Anna? Right here...at my feet, literally. There are times when it is merely enough for her to be in the same room. For instance, I would be in the living room watching TV, and she could be on the coffee table, or the sofa table. She has gotten a thing for what we refer to as "the jungle". It is my mothers plants that she has brought inside for the winter. Fortunatly, for her, she has not messed with them, she just lies there. The past week, since I took her to the vet, she has become very familiar with her pet carrier. However, if I leave the room, say, go into the kitchen, or my bed room, she follows soon after. However, if I go into the bathroom, which is through my bedroom, she seems to be psychic and follows immediatly. That is why my father says that she is codependent. :) Actually, I don't see anything wrong with it my self. :) One last thing, since moving in with my parents Anna has become attached to them as well. It is very nice except when two people go into the bathroom, or if me and my mom are home and are cleaning up. That tires her out. :)
If any body else has any stories to tell about thier codependent Ragdoll, let me know. I would love to hear, or read about them. Now that also includes Ann and Kristi, I am sure you too have a lot of stories.
Talk to you later.
DiAnne
