RigolettO

So far I have to say that I've liked the operas we've watched. Carmen and The Magic Flute kept my interest and I enjoyed them, both the storyline and the music, but I do not feel the same way about Rigoletto.

The music for Rigoletto is nice, but it does not have famous peices of music like the other operas we have watched. The music is not catchy like the Queen of the Night's Aria and the song Carmen sings in the beginning of the opera (I can't remember the name).

When it comes to the storylines, the entire storyline of Rigoletto so far has consisted of the main story alone. In The Magic Flute, there was the side story of Papagano and Papagana. In Carmen, there was really no side story but there were more elements in the plot and more conflicts, like the Toreador and Mikiela.

I just seems like Rigoletto is missing something. Maybe I feel this way because we have just started watching it, hopefully the plot will get better as it develops. I'll keep an open mind.
