Subject: Violetta vs. Carmen

To me Violetta and Gilda are in many ways the same, but differ in their social classes. Violetta is definatly a step up in the social classes and is knows more of culture and finer things. Carmen worked at a ciggarette facotry and she was a gypsy. Violetta is a courtisan who men look to for conversation. The two are both very smart and greatly intelligent. Violetta's knowledge is more of culture. Such as books and art of the time. Carmen's knowledge is more from the streets and criminal knowledge. The man Carmen falls for is a low ranking police officer.Violetta falls for a rich man from a very wealthy family.
