Although Mondrian is a respected artist, his work lacks the same quality as many other talented artists. Many of his works were in reality pictures of New York City (from a bird's eye) and can be seen as very dramatic. However, that is my opinion and I would like to believe that I am entitled to it. In plain English. I do not like his work. I can seen nothing "deep" and meaningful to a bunch of lines thrown onto a canvas. Saying Mondrian's work is art is like calling plaid art. Not all designs require an immense amount of thinking. Those that do, I can appreciate as art.
