I love this movie! Hitchcock in my all time favorite director, I'm just simply amazing by what he is able to do with films. Here's just a few interesting things that I've noticed Hitchcock does in Rear Window. 1)All the camera shots (except for when the dog is discovered and the very end) are all from Jeff's room. 2)All the music included in the film originates from within the action of the film itself. 3)The only close-ups of any of the neighbors come when Jeff can see them up close. 4)The audience can only hear what Jeff can hear. I'm sure I'm missing some other things, but there are just some of the ingenious tactics Hitchcock used to make films. These, plus his use of camera angles and shots give the film its suspenseful feeling.
