I totally agree with Jimmy. Some 20th century by artists such as Van Gogh and Picasso do have talent. You can look at their work as see that though it is abstract, it still took skill. In fact, Picasso was "formally trained" and could paint "real" art. However, he just chose a different style and now he's famous for it. The problem with many of the 20th century artists is that though they may have talent they try extremes to become famous. Just like the artist meghan kurta mentioned in another post about the guy who painted canvuses one color and called it art. Art is something that requires emotion, but it also requires skill. Some 20th century artists have the emotion, but no skill. Maybe they would be more successul if they tried to express their emotions differently.
