Subject: 20th Century Art

My opinion on 20th century art is one similar to Mr. Fornale's and most people's as I read all the posts that are up. I am definatly not a fan of it all because I don't think its technically art. Even though most people will disagree with me, especially Meghan Kurta, most of the things that are considered are are not. Picture taking is not an art and neither are the pictures that were computerized and whatnot and even though I do think sculptures are art....some of the ones that were made in the twentieth century aren't.
The early 20th century isnt bad at all. Even though the art looks kind of weird, it is art....it expresses something. All except for Piet Mondrian, New York City. How that expresses NYC, I will never know.
Then comes the Mid 20th Century and you get involved with Jackson Pollock and the pallates full of one color and calling it art...like Barnett Newman's Vir Heroicus Sublimis.
20th century art is not as bad as I thought it would be but some of it still has its weird points
