Well said bro !

I totally agree that without good friends in EQ you dont even need to try to play the game after reaching lvl 40 or if you ever want to get those sweet items dont even think about it if you dont have good friends who can help. That is mainly what guilds are about. Friends who help eachother and btw this game is not meant to play alone its constructed in a way to encurage team play and should be played there after. Unfortunately almost all good friends I have are in other guilds already and wont leave to join our where ofcourse my best friends are so sometimes we all just have to deal with making new friends from other guilds and it simply rocks when you got respect and a reputation from other players that you might not even know. To illustrate this I got a great story to tell about what happend to me in Lower Guk the other day.

I logged on and zoned into Lower Guk and shouted for a group. Another wizard lvl 41 and some tanks and some buffers were also shouting for groups. Hoomiee was at the Lord and said they were full but 1 person was leaving so I went down there with the invis to undead I got by a good friend at zone. Down there at the Lord I saw some people who I seen around alot and even grouped with some and there where another player who also been told ther was going to be an opening so I thought he was first but when the opening came the group voted who they were going to invite and ofcourse I got Hoomiees vote but also the other ones all becouse they knew me from before. So after camping the Lord with his Ykesha at lvl 41 for some hours, (btw all others in group was 45plus) I could still see how the ones that been looking for a group from the start where still looking, not all though but I especially remember the other Wizard 41 still looking. And this is not all...

Yesterday I died in Lower Guk and I had no group so I did a shout for a res and a lvl 50 cleric I met some time ago said he would do it if I could pull the corpse to him so I did a shout for a help with a pull to him and I got 3 replies. So within 5mins I had my corpse back and a 90% exp res in my hands.

Mainly this game is about knowing alot of people and to use that to your advantage. But if you only use people and dont give back you will soon be known as a bad EQ player and I found out a great way to use my abilities to make good friends. One of them is when a player shouts for a tele and says he will pay 30pp for it I tell him I do it for free and next time guess for yourself who did the res for me in Lower Guk !!!

Hope this gives you something to think about in the way you play EQ and especially in the way you make friends a part of your dayly game !

Regards
Onehouse
