Subject: The latest guess is that it started in Ohio, because that's where the power first went out. I guess what they don't know is why or how it happened as there are suppose to be safety mechanisms to prevent such things. The fact it affected 50 million certainly makes us all aware that we all have a bring problem on our hands. Right now we're being asked to operate on half power, with many places of business closed. Many aren't complying though like the neon signs all over which is stupid. This is another turning point for us all as a society I'm sure.
In reply to: Sonja 's message, "The best thing now they are blaming the power company here saying it all started in Akron and none of the warnings devices worked?? Now they want to raise our rates yet again to pay for the upgrades? We can't win......groan" on 09:09:53 08/18/03 Mon
