Ok, we'll here's mine. My name is Sara & I'm 42. My husband John he's a year older. We've been married for (counting on fingers again) almost 13 years now. I was 33 when I had my first child, Samantha. She's 9, my son Robbie is 7 and my youngest...the one who's doing me in cute as he is, Matt, is 3. We live on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario and that's just about an hour from Niagara Falls. I've lived here all my life too.

I started working summers when I was almost 12 years old, partly because I was really bored staying at home. After high school I went to college and got my legal secretary certificate, (I typed 72 wpm and had 140 in shorthand, I was really proud of that...didn't realize it was fairly extraordinary until I got exempted from one year of college so I did the 2 year course in one, yippee!) but I did that only for a year or two then worked for the government and worked my way up to a Purchasing Officer in the property management branch where my job was to supply property managers with whatever orders they needed to run their buildings, and we would also tender out large construction contracts to repair or construct new buildings. We were kind of the legal end that made sure all the paperwork was done right and we were audited annually.

There was a time when the living was really good in government and so ws the salary and raises...sometimes as high as 14 percent a year...but sooner or later, even the government goes broke don't they! So after more than 17 years I was downsized out of my job. I hurt my back at this stupid job they gave me afterwards in the government bookstore where the people were the worst kind I'd run into ever...so that turned out to be a blessing even though I was home in agony for more than 6 months...and then I got pregnant with Matt to boot. I had no choice really but to quit for good at that point.

I will go back someday, because we're not loaded or anything (I'm always optimistic though! *LOL*) and winning that little lottery jackpot last summer was a blessing because we were able to move up into a bigger home which is just the perfect size for our growing family

What else...I use to be really active in sports as a teenager, you name it I likely played it or did it at some point...right up into my late 20's...and then at 30 it all started to fall apart...my body that is! *LOL* Having the kids was really rough on me...Samantha was breech and a C-section, I nearly died hemorraging (and yes I was IN the hospital and they wouldn't even listen to me!) after my second and it took a long time to get my health back. Matt came out like like a burst water balloon after they induced me and came start to finish in 45 minutes weighing in at 11.3. I'm sure the nurses still have nightmares about that one. So I can't really say childbirth was a joy, but the kids sure are.

Hobbies, well I love to try new stuff...painting (walls) and faux finishes is my current passion. I use to do stain glass too and produced some lovely mirrors and window catchers and even bought a little kiln that melted glass and made glass jewellery for it. But I gave that up because I can't have the kids around me covered in glass dust and getting into that stuff...might do it again someday too.

Hope to hear more bios, and thanks Lisa! Thought it would be nice to see ourselves as "real" people and not just entities! *lol*
