Akaka'i froze for a short moment, upon the entrance of these two wolves. They walked in the manner of alphas. They smelled like alphas. He was a newcomer. To do anything but to submit to them would be idiotic. And so, in a sweeping, liquid motion, he bowed. The bow didn't subside, rather, it turned into a respectful cringe. Alaka'i didn't enjoy subordinance, but carefully concealed his displeasure.

His eyes' radiance was concealed by another gust of wind, but even if the wind had not blown, only the snow on the earth could see them. Instead of gazing at the alphas, he looked down-- it was the wolfen way. To look away from the majestic eyes of the alpha was deep in instincts. He couldn't break instinct. Subordinance was also instinct, and within moments, he didn't think of bowing to others.

He spoke, his deep voice like distant thunder. "You seem to be the alphas of this vale... I am Alaka'i." He continued to look down, afraid to show disrespect. He didn't have to fight to get away from the danger of a scapegoat position. Perhaps all he needed to do was behave presentably. Tail hung limp between ankles, and he awaited a reply from the lupines who were most obviously leaders
