Yeah - idk, I think Paul just thought he led the group to fame which isn't the case. But i've never met the guy, so who am I to judge?
Hmmm the president.... O:-) Well... In all honesty I feel bad for the guy. First there was so much negativity towards him after the election, so many people were for Gore that I think he put up with a lot more than most presidents. Than the twin towers went down which had to be a bit of a panick for the guy, so up until then - he had my sympathies. Now, with his most recent decisions, I've just dubbed him stupid. I don't think we should be sticking our snouts into other peoples business. I quote one of my best friends, Cody, when he says,"this war is horrible
yes, the US is out to stop a ruthless killer, but it's not going to be as easy as we all think. american troops will die, and a lot more than 5 or 6 in the past week, but hundreds of thousands. bush says he will not kill civilians, but there will be many casualties. we don't even have proof that sadaam has biological weapons or ties to alkaida, so why are we throwing ourselves into another country's business? think of all the young soldiers that will die, american and iraqi. think of all the families." This war is stupid. And even if it started with the twin towers, it's over now. The reason they hate us so much over there is because we get ourselves involved with things that we shouldn't get involved with and it pisses people off, which frankly, I understand, and I know we need to defend ourselves, but flying over there and bombing the heck outa Bagdad (sp?) and everything else over there is NOT defending ourselves, it's crossing a line. A very fine line, but a visable one at that. ::sigh:: Poeple are too quick to blow things up anymore. It's like divorce! One little disagreement and the whole things in peices. Idk...I can't solve the problems of the world so whats the use of trying? How do you feel about this whole thing? My other good friend, Hannah has "Bush is not my president" in her info - so I guess you can tell most my friends are not exactly happy campers at the moment. I think their reasons make sense, and I agree with them on most things about this whole war. Basically, it's pointless. And ya know what really sucks? Like a *lot* of my guy friends want to go into the military. :-\ One of them, my *best* friends boyfriend, will be eighteen in October - you know what that means :-( Plus Frank - that guy I was seriously dating for a while, and now this kid that I'm sort of kinda with. Oh and my neighbor (whose also a really close friend). It's just such a bummer. Are we really going to gain more than we lose in all of this mess?
!~*PEACE*~!
Tess
