You leap into a swirling gray portal, and reappear before a bridge of solid nothingness. On either is side is a gaping pit. Everything is shrouded in darkness. You cautiously step onto the bridge, and make your way across to a cave. The cave leads back for quite some distance, eventually becoming pitch black. After a while, you find that you can see, feel, almost hear the blackness... and that you can sweep it to one side through the air. Strange...

You continue moving into the depths of the cave, and begin to be able to see through the tangable darkness. Finally, you find that you can see as if it were no longer there, like looking through and beyond a fragile spiders web. Then, the ground slopes down, opening into a large chamber.

The cavern is more than beautiful– it is of the sort that makes you feel diminishingly small, insignificant. The floor is of glittering black obsidian, polished by an ancient underground river, long ago vanished. The walls and ceiling, towering far above, are a marvel of black and smoky quartz, with occaisional handfuls of tiny, gleaming amethysts. Turning, you exit the chamber and come back the way you had come.

You finally leaves the cave mouth, and look back out at the path, between the gaping chasms. Something looks strange...

Walking up to the edge of one of the chasms, you place a tentative paw on it. Solid, and cold. Ice! The entirity of the two chasms was filled entirely with solid, perfectly clear, unflawed ice!!! Carefully investigating both of them, you find that there is no area left uncovered. On the far side of one is a dense forest, on the other a lake. You would be able to investigate it all in time. For now...

You raise your head to the heavens and howl, announcing your presence to the one who already knows you are here. She appears through the darkness, amber eyes gleaming. Azeraj.
