Hi there. Glad you like Cal Poly. I felt the same way two years ago when I first started here. As an RA of Santa Lucia, I know a little bit about living here. Let me tell you, being on the waiting list is not all that bad. Alot of people currently reserving rooms have not confirmed their enrollment at Cal Poly... and some who have shown interest already (those with a spot already) may not even go here. I am told that almost half of those people who originally apply to the dorms never even end up there, for various reasons, including the possiblities that they might choose a different school, find off-campus housing, or just not want to live in the dorms. Be patient, and keep checking, and that will help you.

Stenner Glen is a nice apartment complexe less than 5 minutes away (walking distance/time) from Cal Poly. I have had friends who have lived there for 2 years and they really enjoyed their experience.

Good luck to you, and feel free to email me if you have any more questions.
