Subject: Loading .tif file - newbie

I'm a newbie at this so please bear with me. I have to convert a .tif file to a .jpg file. I get an access violation as follows (snippet).

uses EnTifGr;
var tempTif : TTiffGraphic;

tempTif.LoadFromFile('c:\dir\file.tif');

Can anyone steer me to the right course??
