Hi Neal,

For sure I will be doing something about this. LZW in tiff is really not a problem, the functionality is currently disabled.

For GIF I am not sure what to do. I don't want to reinvent the wheel and there is already some good code out there, and I might make Envision "compatible" with TGifImage.

The expiration of the patent is also not clear in other countries than the US. I will have do to a bit more research on this.
