Subject: resizing larger .jpg photos to 4 X 6 photo parer size ???

I got a digital camera, photo printer and 4 X 6 photo paper. When I convert the pictures from my camera to .jpg to my computer and touch them up, they are larger sizes than the 4 X 6 photo paper I have. How do I get these picture to the 4 X 6 photo paper size without losing anything on the photo?
