Subject: Pascal to C++ Translation Questions

I'm currently trying to build a demo program to evaluate your product. I'm not a Pascal programmer, but I do see enough similarities to translate most of the demo code into C++. There are a couple of things I'm stuck on, and would appreciate your help. What follows is based on the DemoForm.pas file.

In the procedure TMainForm.OpenMenuClick(), I have translated it this way:

(1)
void __fastcall TMainForm::OpenMenuClick(TObject *Sender)
{
...
...
try
{
OpenDialog->Filter = GraphicFilter(?????)
-------------------I'm Stuck here---^^^^

I'm not sure how to use TGraphic in this context.

if(OpenDialog->Execute())
blah, blah, blah
}
}

(2)
I see in TMainForm.FormCreate() where the BMP, ICO, and WMF files are registered, but how do the other file formats get registered? At some point I will need to read TIF files using the OpenPictureDialog control. What are the steps I need to take to make my demo program "TIF aware?"

(3)
Concerning the OnProgress() procedure,
i.e. void __fastcall TMainForm::OnProgress(const TObject *Sender, const Byte PercentProgress)

I get compile errors because when this procedure is called, as in Rotate90MenuClick(), the Pascal version uses:
Transform.OnProgress = Self.OnProgress; and C++ is expecting the call to look more like: Transform->OnProgress = OnProgress(Sender,???); and I'm totally confused by this.

Any advice or direction you could give would be helpful.

Thanks,

Lewis
