Subject: Saving Files

I have run out of space on my drive, but I can still save files. It appears that SaveToFile and AppendToFile do not give errors when running out of hard drive space. If the file was created but had zero length I could test for this but a partial save just gives an bad format are similar error when I attempt to reload image.
Is there any way to check this or am I missing something.
