Subject: To all: Optus customers unable to email hotmail users

A significant number of Optus customers are currently unable to send emails to hotmail addresses due to Optus mail server being blocked by outlook.

This has been a recurrent problem for some time.

I'm posting about it today because in recent days I've received 3 emails from EBnW posters using hotmail accounts (email addresses).

To any hotmail user who wishes to email me, please note that I can receive your email but any attempt I make to respond just bounces* so don't think I've ignored you. There is seemingly no problem with non hotmail addresses so contact me using a non hotmail email address if you have one.

(BTW here's a typical bounce message. I talked, via live chat, to Optus who said they fixed the problem during our "chat" but the problem persists.):

Unfortunately, messages from [211.29.132.42] weren't sent. Please contact
your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block
list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to

(BTW, 211.29.132.42 in the above error message is an Optus mail server, not the IP of the Optus customer).
