Subject: We should then be playing Ed Allan on the inside
In reply to: Rodda83 's message, "Fin is not an inside mid like T.Adams or L.Ball. Honestly can't believe they let Tadams go." on 22:19 25/04/24 Thu

this kid is built for the modern game, and as a relatively high draft pick, he now needs a rocket up his backside to get some grunt and urgency into his play or else his career will be over before it commenced.

His stats to date at seconds level would suggest that his career has regressed this season so far after he was knocking on the door a number of times last year.

We should play him in the guts, tell him to get his hands dirty, and drill into him that his form will be rewarded should he apply himself.

However, I also feel that Fin and Reef should be played as clearance mids and when form warrants they must be played in their proper midfield positions at senior level. We are hindering their development by not giving them proper senior minutes in their true positions.

Macrae is 1.88mt, so he's not undersized. He just needs to be backed when his opportunity arises. Similarly 1.94mt Reef, who has the size to be dominant mid if allowed to develop.
