All three of McStay, Moore and Checkers are capable of playing forward or back.
I'd suggest that finding a key back could be slightly easier and cheaper that finding a gun key forward. On that basis, a prudent selection of a free agency centre half back could see us standing up pretty straight again. This is particularly the case if Frampton can continue to be serviceable at full back.
