we had a pretty mixed start to the season from memory we were 4 and 5 in the first 9 games without Murph, and once he came into the team were 13 and 3. Thats how important he was!

He is also a great example on the need to be patient with young kids. His first 5 years in the system really werent all that impressive. He seemed a tweener - too small for KP, too slow for a flank, couldnt keep his feet in a contest for love or money. After 2021, Id just about written him off, and I dont think I was Robinson Crusoe. But he got stronger, started winning those 1 on 1s and became a first class defender..

I need to remember that next time I write about Beggy or some other struggling kid. Players can improve (Beggy better pull his finger out though....)
