( from mid season on) using the novice / learner AFL footballer Cox as the lead up forward with the clear threat that he could mark and score .
This exigency attracted several bigger defenders to spoil
The outcome benefitted every other forward ( Elliot was missing then) but JDG, Stevo, Checkers, The Hyphen, JT, etc all scored well .

Arguably we are now better equipped up forward, with Kreuger , Checkers, Elliot, Hill, the Hyphen, Sgt Shultz and Richards …..plus the goal scoring on ballers

I did post earlier with full stats from 2018 but somehow that post has gone , but iirc you watched many of those games in a season where a last second goal denied us success ….so it worked. Subsequently Cox had the eye injury and there was no equivalent plan B . Stevo had an opponent and JT was nearing the end for him .
