That goal from the boundary 2 , left foot to the fence . The shot was exceptional .
Maybe a fluke maybe not ….but on Dwayne Pipe’s interviews today one thing discussed with interviewee , Peter Daicos , was how to measure a good goal kicker
…..Daics view is that it was not necessarily just how many they kicked but one needed to also analyse their missed shots and ask “ were they mostly near misses?” Daic’s point was that those who missed narrowly generally had an effective technique and feel for the skill . We need to watch Fred. He is work in progress . His misses last week weren’t horrendous .even the one from in front just started left and stayed left . The kick towards goal was disappointing in that it was short and not to a target

Secondly “ that” mark late right up ear the wing . He was up there, he was hungry and ( unlike some other efforts by him last match and this one) he really grabbed it . We need more of this , not flash in the pan stuff but big contests .
