Subject: But Harry you're not comparing apples with apples
In reply to: Harry 's message, "The pile on for Darcy Moore seems strange given Frampton conceded 6 or 7 himself" on 13:08 01/07/24 Mon

With all due respect to the battling Frammers, who will always be a Premiership Magpie (and rightfully so), he does not possess the flair, athleticism or skill of Darcy Moore. Moreover I'm sure their respective pay packets are reflective of their relative merits. I also believe that we should be seeing Darcy impacting contests far more than he has been this season; he has often appeared to be lost out on the field of late.

I love Darcy (in a strict footy sense, LOL) but I've been quite disappointed with his drop off in output and impact this season so far.

Here's ESPN's take on the captain:

"Stocks down: What has happened to Darcy Moore? The Collingwood captain has looked lost without his usual counterpart Nathan Murphy by his side this season and his impact on games has dropped considerably. Not flying for marks with the same confidence, and looking exposed one-on-one... it's been a poor season, to say the least, and a steep drop off from his All-Australian best. He's averaging considerably fewer contested and intercept marks, kicks, rebounds, and inside 50s than last year".
