The extra 2 years purportedly offered by the Swans would have made for some nice looking gravy in the short term, no doubt. But there was practically no way he wouldn't be playing somewhere in 2025 anyway so at best, he's bought himself an extra year with that contract. A year he will most likely spend running around in the 2nds.
