Of all the more concrete deals on offer thus far, Perryman is the best of the lot. And he'll be wearing black and white next year.

Most of what we hear about the club meeting players and what not probably isn't made up. Rather, it's just the club doing its job / being thorough about exploring possible opportunities. For example, it would be negligent of the club NOT to meet with, say, Jake Stringer. But this doesn't mean the meeting will result with him crossing to Collingwood. A player looking to move clubs would meet with a number of clubs ... and ultimately, they'll go where the best 'fit' is for them. Being the biggest (and best!) club doesn't mean we are also necessarily the best 'fit' for every player on the move.
