Subject: Thanx Sam …tantalising detail. Now my first sighting of the kid was a Pies prsccie

Match at Olympic pk or whatever it’s called.
And that day he wasn’t opposed to newbies nor playing FF with a Qtr left in an AFL Match ….onthe ground in the centre were the usual suspects including Tay A , Pendles, Sidey , Josh and co. At one end Ginnivan was making all and sundry who were meant to be covering him , look half asleep as he danced around them and created scoring opportunities .
The game was played in halves and he came to my notice in 2nd half out of the middle with repeated dashing clearances and I was sufficiently excited to post asking whether he might be Tim Watson reinvented ( or similar enthusiasm !)
What stood out was raw burst speed and piercing flat kicking with genuine depth.
Subsequent sightings have been cameo forward line posting stuff at VFL and as an interchange used forward or substitute injected later in games …..and you self ponder ….WTF about him suggested that this was the career path for an allegedly very quick , allegedly strong kicking , future bigger midfielder .

This season watching him lumber after a lumbering defender and get nowhere near catching him , I wondered whether he himself had much interest in the CFC notion of his footy career path .
