As I posted above, I believe clubs in footy-feral locations should've been free to start their own franchises, so they invest in it as a home-grown product.

Giving them Roos is like forcing an ugly stepchild upon them.

Let them create their Tassie Mirkins or whatever they're called.

In those areas Australian Rules isn't indigenous, give them an existing franchise to adopt, which gives them substance they don't initially have, as well as Victorian support.

This is the way I've worked out the league:

Victoria
Collingwood
Carlton
Richmond
Essendon

Geelong
Geelong

West Australia
West Coast Eagles
Fremantle

South Australia
Adelaide
Port Adelaide

New South Wales
Sydney Swans
Greater Western Sydney Bulldogs

Queensland
Brisbane Lions
Gold Coast Kangaroos

New Zealand
Wellington Saints
Auckland Hawks

Phillip Island
Phillip Island Demons

Tasmania
The Tassie Mirkins

And then I would've sold an eighteenth license to China for 3 billions dollars, so we could fund all the shit clubs in perpetuity.
