is old school and plays bad cop. In direct contrast is Scott Selwood who's from the modern day playbook of interacting with young people. We teachers are told that for any negative comment, one must follow it with a plethora of positive ones.

Selwood liberally comments his charges, especially when he's tutoring the youngsters and is very reaffirming. Bolton is sharp, can occasionally be acerbic and makes the players repeat what they've done wrong. Sometimes though his tone sounds a bit offputting. He seems to be a bit of a control freak but by and large the players acceded to his requests and performed instructions accordingly. His drills around different scenarios certainly bore fruit during the 2023 season and McRae acknowledged how these helped the players.

He does strike one from the outside that he might be a coach who has a limited shelf life in one workplace because of his draconian streak.

Additionally it's been reported and rumoured that the Leppa dynamic was not working well this year.
