The seem to have been able to steady the ship somewhat with respect to the off-field stuff.

It would appear to me that, at one stage in particular, they might have had a significant amount of "off-field say" into on-field topics.

You don't get successful people - the calibre of Pagan and Malthouse, both multiple-Premiership winning coaches - effectively have their entire football career reputations smashed unless there's something inherently wrong.

Both Pagan and Malhouse were sought after due to their successful runs at their previous clubs, yet they endured horrific outcomes at the Blues.

On top of this, they off-loaded Ratten a year after making the semi-finals.

From the outside, it would appear as though many of thesenior coaches had their "hands tied" due to the "personalities" which called the shots at the Blues.

They seem to have steadied the boat significantly since those days, and they are definitely a threat with respect to their on-field personnel and structure these days.
