Playing field. If we played Richmond twice this year instead of Sydney we play finals - you can’t win the flag from 9th but you can from 8th - in a competition that’s do manufactured to be equal small margins make a huge difference - winning flags generates revenue , sponsors, memberships etc and keeps the club going - why should we be treated differently to other clubs ? I can cop money being shared and distributed to keep the AFL franchises afloat and poorly run Victorian clubs going but things should be fair once they run on the park . It shows how amateur the whole competition is - imagine Man City, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich putting up with uneaqusl fixturing ? Yeah nah. The most galling part is the AFL and media throng won’t even acknowledge the fact that some sides are out to the sword through the fixture whilst others are gifted a free pass to the finals through the AFL scriptwriters . It’s not whingeing - it’s pointing out what hypocrits the AFL are and the farcical unfairness of the competition. Whilst you have your view some of us have another one - a view that wants to see our magnificent club given an even chsnce of premiership glory - something that’s only happened 3 times in 60 years
