Subject: Why do we put our hand up to play this round Robinson style game?

Given the gap between "halves" surely it's conducive to getting the run into the legs and match fitness.

We really are playing 1 game of 4 quarter footy vs opposition before season opener.

Given we played teh same format last year and looked off the pace straight out the gates maybe it's worth looking into.

Lions imo looked fitter and more primed for the season despite having less preseason.

Which we were blaming last season on the poor start.

Maybe it's the miles in the legs and players gelling in game that's a contributing factor in the slow start.

We have gone from a competition of 3 preseason games down to 1.5,

Other sides are at 2 full games of getting game fatigue level run into their players vs opponents who are more physical then team mates in intra.
