I was always taught you play how you train, low intensity training and playing will translate to similar patterns in the real thing.
You are not teaching your players grit and determination by having them play 50% below the opponent.

Brisbane were not scared of getting injured not physical contact ditto the suns. There were many contests in the guts that they went and our player chose not to.

Hence why optimax was lementing not having Tom Mitchell.

Problem is the club needs a young Mitchell or Ball type and not a half broken warrior who can't get on the field.

At least T.Adams would play 80% plus of the season most seasons. Should never have let him go imo we are worse side for not having him in, and between he and Mitchell we may have had 1 inside mid.
