earlier than in previous times. We were barely into March when playing our first game (in the heat) yet had such a compressed start before the bye. The bye in itself so early in a season is odd.

Time to scrap round zero and devise a fixture which means the ladder is readable and realistic. This year it's technical unbalanced until the last round.

There is no reasonable evidence available that supports the intended benefits to the northern clubs due to these new arrangements.
