Subject: I reckon his biggest problem is that he is a very good back pocket...

But we have 2 damn near elite back pockets who are very rarely miss games.

Fact is that's just about the maximum number of back pockets you can have in a team.

Maynard and Quaynor are better than Ryan right now, and possibly for quite a while to come.

Ryan could also play, IMO as a hbf, but he is nowhere near the level of Josh or Houston by foot.

That's it, those are his positions.

He is not a McInnes replacement.

Even McInnes was a pretty speculative experiment as a KPD.

I reckon that by mid year we might have a player in West.

IMO he could play the role McInnes was training for, and it might allow him to get AFL games into his legs before the spots open up up forward.
