Subject: *Leads out Eldora.* (Jenn, inside.)

(Jenn, I hope it's okay for me to play you a little, cos I won't be on again for around a week, and if I play you, then when this is done, you can take Eldora. I hope that's okay.)

*It was time for the filly's training. Kath led her to the round pen and sent her away. The filly was extremely flighty, pacing out a fast canter. Kath kept flicking the light sash line at her to encourage her to go away. Almost immediately, the filly locked onto Kath with her inside ear. A few laps later, her tongue appeared between her lips and her mandibles rippled. Just about when Kath was going to invite the filly in to her, the filly dropped her head and bounced her muzzle along the ground for a few metres. It was then that Kath turned her body 45 degrees to the filly's action. The filly stopped and looked at the girl in the centre. Turned her head towards her then dropped it and walked towards the girl who had taken care of her most of her life. Snakes out her muzzle and touches Kath's shirt with it. Kath turned around and dropped the line that was coiled in her hand. Reached out and rubbed the filly's forehead. Turned away from the filly and did a few circles, the filly's nose to her shoulder. Then did some circles in the opposite direction. Once that was done, Kath rubbed the filly's vulnerable areas. Then Kath picked up her feet.* Okay, bring in the saddle. *Keeps the filly on the far side of the pen as Jenn brings in a saddle, bridle and another light line. Kath picks up the saddle blanket and places it on the filly's back. Eldora flinches a bit but stands firm while the saddle is placed on her back. Kath tightens the girth and sends the filly away again. After a few strides, the filly starts to buck, trying to rid herself of the saddle. After a lap, the filly settles down and once again shows Kath the signs that she wants to come back in. Kath allows her to come in and makes a fuss of her when she does. Kath picks up the bridle and places it on the filly's head. Eldora opens her mouth readily and stands there champing the bit. Kath puts the long lines on and long line's the filly for a while.* Okay, Jenn, you can come in now. *Takes off one of the long lines while Jenn rubs the filly's sensitive areas. Kath holds the filly while she gives Jenn a leg up onto Eldora's back. Kath walks the filly around and lets her see Jenn draped over her middle. Once Kath is satisfied that Eldora is comfortable with Jenn there, she helps Jenn put a foot in the stirrup and to put a leg on either side of the filly. Unclips the long line and looks the filly in the eye, telling her to go away again. At the same time, Jenn is giving her leg aids to walk on. Eldora is calm about all this and walks around the pen. Kath looks her in the eye and squares up to her and Eldora starts to trot. Eldora and Jenn do a lap at a trot before Kath asks them to stop.* That's enough for her today, Jenn. *After Jenn dismounts, Kath comes over and untacks the filly, then Jenn takes the tack outside the pen. Kath walks around the pen, the filly's nose to her shoulder. Kath could sense the filly's adrenalin level go down and watches her lower her head. Kath clips a long line to her halter and leads her over to the gate to the round pen. Opens the gate and hands Jenn the lead rope.* There you go, Jenn. She's all yours to train now. She'll need maybe two more sessions in the round pen, do you want to do that? Or do you want me to? *Stands by the filly's side, and rubs her neck.*
