manly had been cherry-picking Norths talent for decades and they eventually became a convenient host to prolong manly's existence. Norths took all the risks in order to assure they could stand alone and, as far as I'm concerned, were shafted by the same Administration that had encouraged efforts.

I don't blame manly for latching onto Norths - having done nothing to ensure their own longevity they were in a desperate situation aside from which it's their nature - but to have them painted as some kind White Knight...? Sorry, but like Col, that one just doesn't wash.
