Subject: Heeley Allotments

Hi there Sally,

You should try and get to a meeting of the Heeley History Workshop (any Monday 2-5 at the old school off Myrtle Road, Heeley - EXCEPT BANK HOLIDAY MONDAYS).

My husband and myself attend every week when there is a meeting. You would be made welcome and could pick up all the information you need from the group. Just about everyone in Heeley used to have an allotment - and the group members will have many stories to tell.

Did you get the book Heghlegh Then and Heeley Now? The group is hoping to publish a new book in the Autumn and hopefully it will be as successful as the first one.

Please do try and attend - the next meeting is on Monday the 2nd June. You can e-mail me if you need directions to the school. Sorry for the fact that you posted a message so long since, but we only joined last summer and I am about the only person with a computer and access to the internet (some of our members are getting to grips with it though).

Cheers.
