The siblings' bellies were full, their hunger pains abated, and now they lay dozing quietly beneath the shade of a tall oak. Their snowy coats were easily spotted against the shadows and green of foliage surrounding them. Moina was laying flat on her side, a few feet from her litter-mate. FLies buzzed noisily around her blood stained muzzle, Gacin lay with his shoulder against the upraised roots of the oak, lids half closed. Until the howl ripped through the peacefully quiet sounds of the forest. Moina jerked, and rolled quickly to her stomach, furry white towers pricked at the sound, not yet familiar, but one she would soon learn to recognize as Kosses.
Gavin was on his feet in an instant, gaze scanning their surroundings alertly before lowering his head nad nudging Moina gently, encourating her to rise. "come on... Our alpha summons..." Together, the pair loped forward, moving like twin ghosts through the forests and toward their leader. They slowed as they neared the two other wolves, Gavin halted just in the shadows of the forest, his form appearing ghostly still. Moina paused half a lengh behind her brother, then stepped forward, and moved to her alpha, banner disturbing the air behind her. Gavin followed a moment later, cautious, his gaze flicking between the unknown wolf and his alpha. |
