Gavin's silvery auds flicked forward, easily catching the vocals of the fae so close. It seemed as if all his attention was focused on her, but he still kept a close watch on the pups, straying a little further now that they'd sated their curiosity on that section of castle. He shook his head slightly at Kosses' first words and growled ever so softly in response. "Apologies aren't needed. We knew we'd be stepping on paws to bring them back here..." he turned his full gaze on the pups then, and watched them a moment, a flicker of pride in his eyes. They weren't his pups, but never the less, he was proud of them, for traveling so far, at such a young age, at coping so well to their lot in life. "We owe you much for accepting them.. and for not banishing Moina, or myself." He turned his gaze back to the silvery fae and gave a wolfy grin. He stretched his muzzle forward then, and gently nuzzled Kosses' ruff and cheek.
While Gavin was keeping Kosses company, and keeping an eye on the pups, Moina was circling the castle at a ground eating jog. She'd stop whenever she glanced a potential den spot, and after a brief inspection, would move on without a second thought. It wasn't until she was about 3/4 of the way around the castle that she found a great den, it was on high ground, and dug down beneath a fairly sturdy portion of the castle wall. It needed a quick clearing out, from other animals presences, but it would fit them snugly, and provide a decent lookout point when the pups were asleep. She set to work quickly, yanking a few stubborn tree roots out of the back of the den, and making it deeper, moving further beneath the castle foundation. She dug it a little deeper in height as well, pausing frequently to judge the depth using her own body as a measuring stick. She could fit comfortably by just crouching. Content with the size and structure, she circled once comfortably, and emerged into the dwindling light. She glanced about, and then jogged off into the woods, searching out ferns and other soft plant life to use as bedding. Her usually icey white coat was coated with dirt, making her look more like a timber wolf than an artic wolf.
The sun was nearly set when she finally finished with her task, and headed back to the pups. She took the shortest path, and happened across the pups moment before her gaze settled on Gavin and Kosses, in time to see her brother reach over and affectionately nuzzle Kosses. She smirked, a twinkle lighting her amber eyes as she watched the pair. Stella spotted her mother then, and yipped happily, and a bit hungrily. She trotted over, a bit clumsy with her paws, and whined at her mother's feet. Moina lowered her muzzle and licked both pups affectionately before stepping over them easily and rejoining the small pack, pups in toe.
