Hello. I am Darcy Norton, Perfect Productions Miss United States Teen of America for 2002. Miss Bobbie asked me to write to you about winning this great title, so here it is......The Perfect Productions national pageant was held in Atlanta, Georgia on July 17-21. Because of a prior commitment at home I didn't get to the pageant until the 18th, so I missed the tour and the initial get to know the other contestants opportunities. So my first chance to meet the other girls was when I went down to the ballroom for the first rehearsal. I walked into the room and saw 45 beautiful females and went WOW. I knew right then that I had a lot of hard work ahead of me.On Thursday night the optional talent competition was held. The contestants were great. We had singers, dancers, baton and flag twirlers and even a belly dancer.The next part of the competition came on Friday morning when we had our interviews. The Judges were a lot of fun and it seemed as if everyone left their interview happy.Saturday night was the semifinals and even though I was very nervous I really enjoyed it. At end of the competition they announced the optional winners. I was very happy when I was called as the photogenic winner and then it just kept getting better for me. I then won the title of National Teen Ambassador. This is an honor that I am especially proud of because the national ambassadors are selected by their community service work. I work very hard as volunteer and truly believe that by volunteering I can make a difference, so I was thrilled to receive this title and I didn't think things could be any better. Boy was I wrong!!! On Sunday at the finals they first announced the top five. As they started calling names I looked at the other contestants around me and just felt happy to be there. When my name was called for the top five I wanted to jump up and down. But then the competition got even tougher. We then went to the top three and I didn't even want to hope for more, but I made it. When they called the second runner up and it wasn't me I couldn't believe it. When the first runner up was called and I realized that I had won I was stunned. It then came to me what I had accomplished. I am happy, excited, and very honored to know that the judges felt that I was right to hold the title of Perfect Productions Miss United States Teen of America for 2002.Darcy Norton

Teen - Miss entry information: $650.00 national entry fee ($75.00 deposit - $575.00 balance) Title banner: $50.00 Perfect Production crowns optional: $60.00

All Perfect Production National Programs to be held in Atlanta, Georgia.

Competition will consist of: Personality Interview 33% - Physical Fitness 33% - Evening Gown 33%
Pageant Attire: Suit or nice dress/Navy shorts & white PPP tee shirt/Evening Gown
Plus Ms: sportswear of their choice replaces Navy shorts or swimwear. Semi-finalist in all other divisions will re-compete in swimwear. On stage interview for semi-finalist with final question for top five. There will be a winner and four alternates. Each division national will award: National Ambassador - Photogenic - congeniality - interview - community service awards.

Teen - Miss National Winners: $700.00 Cash! Official Rhinestone Crown and Rhinestone Banner, Engraved sterling silver bowl. 35 MM Camera, luggage, beautiful rhinestone gold crown ring, crown necklace and crown pin. Crown carrying case. Expenses paid to "Miss Oktoberfest" pageant in Canada - expenses paid to "Miss TourismWorld" in Great Britain (certain restrictions apply) Currently negotiating with three (3) additional International Programs for Perfect Production National Winners. Personal Appearances.
