According to my book, "882 Amazing Answers to your Questions about the Titanic," nobody knows the actual height of the iceberg, above the water. It is estimated at above 60ft, and survivors described it as being just higher than the boat deck, however high that is. T

The route that the Titanic was scheduled to go on was the Northern West Bound route, I think. She was going form Southampton England --> Cherbourg France --> Queenstown Ireland --> NYC, if that helps.

Nobody knows exactly how far away the Californian was from the Titanic. Passengers and crew aboard the ship thought that it was about 5 miles away, but this is wrong. It only appeared to be that close because of the extreme smoothness of the water. According to "A Night to Remember," it was 10 miles away, and according to the Californian's logbook, they were 19 miles away. I would probably say 19 miles, it's been the one that's been believed by most people.

I hope that this has helped you,
~Mikle
