My, my... February certainly has been eventful, hasn't it? Maybe just not in ways we would have liked. If the bad weather's making it hard for your dog to get exercise, why not consider the marvelous indoor pools at the recently opened Canine Fitness Center http://caninefitnesscenter.com/contact.html#add near Annapolis? Gomez just loves it and so do I since it knocks him out for the rest of the day.

Plus you get a discount on anything you buy at the store.

Sun 3/16 12N-3pm, WASHINGTON, DC: The enormous DC St Patrick's Day parade http://dcstpatsparade.com/ celebrates its 32nd year. You and your dog can enjoy the festivities and watch the parade march down Constitution Ave from 7th to 17th.

Sun 3/16 2pm, BALTIMORE, MD: Another St Pat's Day parade to go to with your dog. Starting at N. Charles & W. Centre St, the Baltimore St Patrick's Day parade/5k run also features filming of a John Travolta/Disney movie to add to the havoc. Sun 3/30 11am-2pm, BALTIMORE, MD: March for the Animals held by the MD SPCA http://www.mdspca.org/walkathon/details.htm at the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus. This one is HUGE; last year they had over 2500 participants. You don't have to walk the pleasant 1.5 mi route, just come and enjoy the games, vendors, entertainment, food, demos, micro-chipping and especially the sights! And yes, there's free parking.

Sun & Mon, 3/30 & 3/31 8am-4pm, ANNAPOLIS, MD: The Potomac Valley Irish Wolfhound Club http://www.pviwc.org/Specialty.html has their regional specialty at Quiet Waters Park.
