Well, cyber stimulus We are definetly in the 21'st cetury

Iwas recently encouraged by a verse from 1Chron. and I had written a little something of my thoughts to a friend I hope you wil enjoy it as well
GOD IS GOOD
> 1 ¶ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside
> as aliens, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia,
> Asia, and Bithynia, who are chose
>
> These were people that might very well ask the question Is
> God GOOD? IF so where is he in my life right now? Where is God when
> I need Him? Why am I suffering so if God is good? More specifically,
> Is God good to me? Is there any benefit to believing in His Son?
> Look at my life, am I any better off for having believed? In fact,
> it appears that I am worse off.
>
> 1Peter 2:2 like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word,
> so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
> 3 if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord
> I expect that the word that was available to them was
> primarily the O.T. The OT is a rather sad account of the history of
> Judah and Israel. Treachery and bloodshed abound along with the
> rebellion of idolatry and therefore the ensuing dispersions. So why
> go there for encouragement? What possible benefit can be had from
> reading about people in much the same situation, hundreds of years
> at a time
> Perhaps it was for those who would happen upon a scripture
> such as this when Solomon was dedicating the temple 2Chron. 6: 34
> "When Your people go out to battle against their enemies, by
> whatever way You shall send them, and they pray to You toward this
> city which You have chosen and the house which I have built for Your
> name,
> 35 then hear from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and
> maintain their cause.
> 36 "When they sin against You (for there is no man who does not
> sin) and You are angry with them and deliver them to an enemy, so
> that they take them away captive to a land far off or near,
> 37 if they take thought in the land where they are taken captive,
> and repent and make supplication to You in the land of their
> captivity, saying, 'We have sinned, we have committed iniquity and
> have acted wickedly';
> 38 if they return to You with all their heart and with all their
> soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been taken
> captive, and pray toward their land which You have given to their
> fathers and the city which You have chosen, and toward the house
> which I have built for Your name,
> 39 then hear from heaven, from Your dwelling place, their prayer
> and supplications, and maintain their cause and forgive Your people
> who have sinned against You
> Almost as if Solomon expected it he prays at this dedication
> in the event that the people of God are dispersed. Solomon does so
> because he believes that GOD ID GOOD
> His GOODNESS is expressed in his enduring love. Even when His hand
> is forced to bring his fierce wrath upon His people His love and
> concern for them does not fail
> The people of 1 Peter are not exiled for sin though. They
> are there at no fault of there own. Peter uses the first chapter and
> a half to say just that and he commends faith that endures under
> fire. Gods love is enduring towards them and He is very pleased with
> a love that endures towards Him as well
> There were many unconverted Jews who were part of this
> dispersion and they had little hope in such a bleak history but
> these chosen of God had far better than a temple made with human
> hands in a distant land. They WERE the temple of God! Gods eye was
> upon them and He Himself resided in them and with them
> Many people are suffering in this world today. Christians
> and nonchristians alike suffer the same trials. Imagine not being a
> believer and having to endure. What keeps them going ? In what is
> there hope?
> The evidence of Gods love is both inward and outward. An
> inward peace that surpasses all understanding and an outward support
> of those who more than love in word and in tongue. We are the arm of
> God to reach out to a hurting people
> Eph.2: 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ
> Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would
> walk in them.
